Battery: Check your car’s battery before cold winter days approach

Tire Tread and Tire Pressure: Check your tire tread and consider winter tires. Pay attention to your tire pressure as the weather begins to get cooler your tires lose 1-2 pounds for every 10 degrees the temperature drops. For accurate tire pressure readings always check your tire pressure when the tires are cold.

Brake: Have your brakes checked! Worn brake pads decreases stopping power and can damage brake rotors. This preventative maintenance can prevent accidents and save you money.

Washer Fluid: As outdoor temperatures hover around the freezing mark start using a cold weather windshield washer fluid that won’t freeze.

Check Fluids: Another preventative maintenance tip is to check fluid levels in oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid and radiator. DO NOT OPEN A RADIATOR WHEN HOT! Low fluid levels can alert you to a potential problem or leak. Get it checked!

Lights: Don’t wait for your annual car inspection. Be safe and check all your exterior lights. Headlights, brake lights and directional lights.
